Fueled by equal parts kombucha and passion, my years as a wedding and portrait photographer had me spinning in my chair with giddiness. “Hang on, I’m getting paid to create!?”
If there's one thing I've learned over years of peering through a tiny viewfinder, it's this: greatness exists in the inconspicuous and overlooked details. I believe in paring things down to the essence without removing the poetry — the same goes for the words in your business.
You’re getting paid to create and share pretty things with the world. Consider this a virtual booyah from me to you, because you’ve already made it: you’re making that paper by doing what you love. As the visionary and chief creative behind an aesthetically-driven business like yours, you’ve got a laundry list of to-dos (and an even longer list of want to-dos).
When your days are stuffed to the brim with editing, client calls, emails, and overanalyzing your Instagram grid, something’s gotta give... Do you ever just need to get back to the work that sets your soul on fire? You're in just the right spot.
Sneaky little tip for you: this is where I come in. I’m Olivia, and I serve women at the helm of creative small businesses who are ready to free themselves from chronic writer’s block and return to their craft.

When it comes to words, I’ve always been a natural. A month prior to graduating from the University of Washington with a Bachelor’s in Marketing and Communications, I landed my first “big kid” gig at a local newspaper. From the windowless office that once housed hundreds of employees in the glory days of print, I wrote arts and culture advertorial out of my dingy cubicle. On top of that, I was moonlighting as a wedding photographer with my calendar booked out a month in advance. The grind.was.real. My writing chops evolved as I went from writing paid editorial to designing clever (and converting) campaigns for a community bank. With multiple six figure launches under my belt, I realized there’s something I must be doing right. Now, I’m setting my sights on you. I’m Olivia, and I serve women at the helm of creative small businesses who are ready to free themselves from chronic writer’s block and return to their craft.
Today you can find me curled up on the couch with my husband, our Miniature Schnauzer, and our two cats while we listen to the drizzle outside (in Seattle, it rains just as much as you've heard). It's worth noting that a Volcano candle from Anthropologie is probably burning on the mantel. There's an unspoken promise in our family that we'll never leave the Pacific Northwest for as long as we can help it (knock on wood from a locally sourced Douglas Fir).
My work as a photographer brought me up and down the West Coast for years, where I had to chance to become fast friends with other wildly talented, creative-types who were head over heels for their businesses, just like me. Shout out to my biz BFFs (you know who you are)!
For all the beauty these women were putting out into the world, something was missing. Lost in the never-ending agenda of business bureaucracy, the scoop was subpar. In other words, the story wasn't there. Story is what's at the heart of the human experience. And that's when it hit me: how could artists build sustainable businesses without the sense of urgency a compelling story creates?
Welcome to my mission. I'm ready to weave you a word tapestry that has your dream clients saying, "I need to buy from her. Do not pass go. Do not collect two hundred dollars." Let's skip past the years of edits to cut through the noise, craft your heart story, and settle into your money-making groove (now and forever). Blinking cursor begone!
