Fueled by equal parts kombucha and passion, my years as a wedding and portrait photographer had me spinning in my chair with giddiness. "Hang on, I'm getting paid to create?!" Dream job, right?

Hey there! I'm Olivia.
I'm a wedding photographer turned wordsmith for those with creative callings.

If there's one thing I've learned over years of peering through a tiny viewfinder, it's this: greatness exists in the inconspicuous and overlooked details. I believe in paring things down to the essence without removing the poetry — the same goes for the words in your business.

About

stay awhile

And as the visionary and chief creative behind an intuitively driven business like yours, you’ve got a laundry list of to-dos (and an even longer list of want to-dos).

When your days are stuffed to the brim with editing, client calls, emails, and overanalyzing your Instagram grid, something’s gotta give. If you're ready to get back to the work you love, you're in just the right place. I’m Olivia, and I serve visionaries at the helm of creative businesses who are ready to free themselves from chronic writer’s block and return to their craft.

When it comes to words, I've always been a natural (just ask my mom).

A month prior to graduating from the University of Washington with a Bachelor’s in Marketing and Communications, I landed my first “big kid” gig at a local newspaper. From the windowless office that once housed hundreds of employees in the glory days of print, I wrote arts and culture advertorial out of my dingy cubicle. On top of that, I was moonlighting as a wedding photographer with my calendar booked out a month in advance. The grind.was.real.

My writing chops evolved as I went from writing paid editorial to designing clever (and converting) campaigns for a community bank. With multiple six figure launches under my belt, I realized there’s something I must be doing right. Now, I’m setting my sights on you. I’m Olivia, and I serve womxn at the helm of creative small businesses who are ready to free themselves from chronic writer’s block and return to their craft.

my work as a photographer brought me up and down the west coast for years.

I had to chance to become fast friends with other wildly talented, creative-types who were head over heels for their businesses, just like me. Shout out to my biz BFFs (you know who you are)!

For all the beauty these womxn were putting out into the world, something was missing. Lost in the never-ending agenda of business bureaucracy, the scoop was subpar. They got lost in the sauce. In other words, the story wasn't there. Story is what's at the heart of the human experience. And that's when it hit me: how could artists build sustainable businesses without the sense of urgency a compelling story creates? Welcome to my mission.

The TL;DR version

'10

Junior year of high school and the unofficial "founding" of my photography business. I took senior photos for a friend in exchange for a pint of Phish Food.

'17

Graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, and art (with a couple of fiction writing electives for good measure).

'19

Left my first "big kid job" in advertising at a local newspaper to explore marketing in the finance industry. There, I wrote my first campaign with over a million dollars in revenue.

'21

Launched my copywriting offerings and became a full time freelancer for the first time in my career. I booked over thirty clients, earned six figures, and completely burnt out.

'22

Began offering retainer and agency copywriting services for brands around the world. Found balance, boundaries, and healing from burnout (and continued to thrive).

Beauty, connection, and purpose are woven throughout the human experience.
Here, it’s at the center of every story we'll tell.

Let's skip past the years of edits to cut through the noise, craft your heart story, and settle into your money-making groove (now and forever).

When I'm not
at my desk, here's where you can find me:

More often than not, I'm curled up on the couch with my husband, our dogs and cats while we listen to the drizzle outside (in Seattle, it rains just as much as you've heard). It's worth noting that a Volcano candle from Anthropologie is probably burning on the mantel. There's an unspoken promise in our family that we'll never leave the Pacific Northwest for as long as we can help it (knock on wood from a locally sourced Douglas Fir).

here's what I'm about:

Working with Olivia was the

best gift I could give myself.

"She's taken all of my words, passion, love, and eloquently put it together to sound like me–but concise and powerful. The copy she created for me is like a compass. I use it as a reference point pulling words and phrases to use all over the place. Just seeing the copy makes me write better! I genuinely don't think I'd be this far if I hadn't worked with Olivia for my copy. She is a copy magician."

Olivia is the best investment I made all year. She's

"I could never express my sincere gratitude in the right words. Speaking of words...she's a word and copywriter genius! Olivia made me giggle and teary-eyed in the same breath because it’s all so beautifully captured."

Olivia is

the best out there.

"It's clear from the beginning that Olivia prioritizes making you feel valued and seen, whether it's sending sweet surprises in the mail or directing the conversation in a deeper, more profound direction to learn more about you and your business. She captured the emotion behind our "why" and illustrated that vulnerability in such a poetic way that I couldn't finish reading it out loud before being overcome with literal tears. The experience of working with Olivia is unmatched."

Olivia's magic words and magic brain were just what my business needed

at a crucial time for growth.

"I was nervous to get help with copywriting because I thought no one would ever capture my voice, but somehow, Olivia did! We figured out a system that added precious hours in my day, but at the heart of it all was my voice–Olivia helped me get it there."

START OVER

I live, learn, reflect, and write on the homelands of the Coast Salish people.

The Puyallup Tribe has stewarded this land since the beginning of time–and they continue to do so today. I recognize that this land acknowledgement is one small step toward true allyship. I commit to uplifting the voices, experiences, and histories of the Indigenous people of this land and beyond.
